MY THOUGHTS ABOUT SPONSORED POSTS

17 October 2015

Let me just let my heart out in this post. You know, I started this blog around 2012/2013 and in these years I build my own brand and this blog. I share my thoughts, my outfits, and just everything on it. I have to admit, i'm also working with brands and company's. I don't need money from everyone just to promote somebody. I just like to create content my readers like. I may not have the most followers, or a lot of comments. I'm not "famous" or anything like that. I'm just a regular student here, who likes fashion and likes to share this with the whole world. It's just a hobby, it still is.

ABOUT THE COMPANY'S
Company's usually contact me to work with them, some people have something in return for that. And some people just don't have the money for it. I understand that. I don't just work with everyone. Some company's don't even answer my mails anymore, while they mailed me first. It's so weird. But it might just be me.

I know I have a lot of banners from different company's on the blog, this is because otherwise they don't want to work with me. I need to put them on the blog. I can understand that. One of the things that really annoys me is that some company's just don't communicate that well. Their English isn't the best, or they don't want to mail you anymore. They just simply don't answer... or they send you an e-mail about this great product and if you are interested you can mail them. When you do this, they just don't respond. The whole thing is just weird. Sometimes I also just get spam e-mails, like they are building a great platform and they want you to join them. But honestly I don't have the time to go to these platforms everyday. I need to maintain social media, the blog, YouTube and I also need to focus on my schoolwork. Having a blog is a huge thing. I know I may not be the best one, but i'm just trying to do my thing and share it with you.

YOU CAN'T DO WHAT YOU WANT?
What also really annoys me is the fact that company's think they can do whatever they want. For example, I made this post and shared it on my social media accounts. They sended me an e-mail that they think that I shouldn't photoshop my pictures. I mean.. who are they? They might send me clothes to take picture with, that's great and all. But don't tell me what I can and can't do on my own blog. I mean, I just like to photoshop myself in other backgrounds. It's my style, and I just like to experiment with it. I think it's fun to experiment and to just do whatever you want. It's really annoying when people say that you can't or that they think it's better not to.

And I think it's okay to have sponsored posts as long as you have fun with it, and if it fits on your blog. Sorry for the big rant. But I just wanted to say this to someone haha.

Nice post! I feel that there is definitely a line to draw with sponsored posts. I don't get too many emails from companies, but have had a few just totally blow me off with no reply. It makes you think about how professional these people working for them are! Communication is sososo important.
