When I saw the pictures on Femmeluxe of this dress, it looked so good. I love some organza and I love pink! Unfortunately I don't think it look that good on me like the model wearing it. 

I really like the dots on the organza, but I wish there was more of that, it looks a bit flat when I put my hands down. I might style the dress with a simple belt to create more shape in the dress. I do love the color too, it's a soft pastel pink. It's not too bright or 'in your face'. Overall I like the dress, but not really on me. I can also choose to wear the dress like a top, and tuck the bottom part in jeans or cut it off.

When I wore this outfit, I felt like I was at the top of the world. I felt so powerful and confident.
I miss going out and styling outfits, during the winter I like to be comfortable and warm. Listening to Japanese 80s pop music and dancing in my room since we can't go out and dance. 

I wrote this a few days ago when posting these on my Instagram:

I never showed this dress on my blog before, I created this piece in 2018 with a dress I already owned. I created a pattern from it. The fabric I used is a table cloth from a Chinese restaurant. I never worn the dress outside since I created it. The color isn't something I would buy but I like it on this fabric and this gold/yellow color is what Chinese restaurants used a lot. When I wanted to take pictures for the blog, I wanted to incorporate this dress too.

I didn't want to make it too cute, so I picked up this black belt and styled it with my white and black platform sandals. I have these sandals for two years now, and they are definitely my go-to shoes in the summer.

These boots are one of my favorite pieces I own, it's not really comfortable to walk in but I think it looks so good on many outfits. They are classy and the heel isn't straight like most of the heels. Pairing these black boots with this pleated ZARA skirt I barely wear because it's a bit too big for me unfortunately. I would love to get behind the sewing machine again and start resizing all my clothes, hopefully I will be able to do that this week or next week. I think it's a waste if I don't wear the clothes I own!

The reason why I love styling is because you can change an outfit and vibe with just a few items. I took the pictures when the weather wasn't this cold in The Netherlands. I like to switch my style with the way I feel or what I like. Trying my best to get the most out of all the items I own, it's sad that I can't style and wear the outfits outside now because I'm working at home most of the time now. 

Since I ordered different backdrops for my home studio, I take a lot more self portraits I still have to publish. I posted some of it on my Instagram already.

I wanted to try this dress because of the unusual shape it has. I was surprised when it came in, it looked like a towel or just a sheet. I had to figure out how to wear it since I didn't own any other dress which looks like this. I definitely have to wear a bra underneath it, or a padding since the fabric is also very soft it slips right of your skin. I love how the dress looks. It's not too long but just right.

However I have to be careful that the knot is tight enough, I always have a hard time to knot the dress up. They don't show it on the website, or how they did it. This might be nice to show, so it really looks exactly like the photo if you have to knot it yourself.

Tomorrow I have my graduation ceremony, I think I will wear the dress I bought around 2 weeks ago! I hope it won't rain tomorrow, because I might have to wear heels with the dress because it's quite long haha.

RIBBED DRESS - FEMME LUXE FINERY

Here is another dress I got from Femme Luxe in size 6. I wish it was a bit more loose and over sized. Around my hands it feels very tight and also around my hips. I love the style and the fabric, the quality feels alright and perfect for in the spring and autumn. I think this dress is also perfect for some summer nights, or for the evening! It's a whole outfit already because of the belt that you get with the dress. I like the shape of the sleeves, it's puffy and the comfortable part of the dress. 

A few days ago I watched the movie: "Queen & Slim" in the cinema, to me it was such a beautiful movie with amazing cinematography. Some shots were a bit long, but they did that on purpose. I think for some people it might be annoying, but I loved it! It fitted the whole movie and the scenes. I also love the character development with the dialogue they had. It was made so beautifully, and I cried so much in the end and towards it because it's so beautiful! I really recommend it.

This is my second bright orange item I have, I was really afraid that it didn't fit me or it didn't look good on me because of the style. Femme luxe has this item in many different colors, I think you can style it in many different ways. The only thing that's annoying is that the top is slipping down and I have to keep on pushing the top up. The size I got is Size 6.

I styled this with my Puma Jogging pants. This is one of my favorite items to wear now, it's easy to style and wear for inside and outside. I think this is the first time I also wear the shoes on the picture, knockoff Balenciaga Triple S sneakers. I love the design, but because I was looking for shoes which lasts and is easy to wear I wanted to try the knock offs first. I still do love the design, but it's just too heavy for everyday wear for me. I mostly carry a laptop with me, and camera stuff if I wear these shoes I carry even more haha. So I won't buy the Triple S, but I will still style them with my outfits.

LITTLE BLACK DRESS

This dress is super cute, but it was so hard to wear it and put on. I got size UK Size 6, and it's way too small even when I have EU size 34 or XS. I barely got it over my head and it's super hard, also for my waist. Which was super annoying and it hurts to put it on, I don't really recommend it, but it still looks cute. I would pick maybe 2 sizes bigger if this one is super small. I like the design a lot! The length of the dress is also perfect, it's just too small for me and putting it on. I won't wear it anymore, because it just hurts to put it on, I don't like that.

I think everyone should have a little black dress, because it's perfect for all occasions.

I GRADUATED! I can officially say it! I got my Bachelors degree, with two nines. A nine for my presentation and a nine for my end product. It's so surreal that I finished this degree, in about two weeks I will receive my paper but we're not sure if there is going to be a ceremony. I will have to update a lot of stuff such as my portfolio website and add so much new work to it since I wasn't able to add it, especially in this graduation year. But finally! I'm super curious what I will be doing after.

I never worn this dress before so I had to create an outfit for it! The skirt is a little bit big but I really like the asymmetrical style and the pattern is really nice as well! For a sophisticated but stylish look. The top however is one I love to wear when it's summer, I think I got this at Pull & Bear.

This weekend I went to one of the protests in The Netherlands, and it was my first time that I went to something like that. It was very empowering and i'm happy I went, I also took some photos. I will post them whenever I can.

What a hectic week, and it's still not over yet. Two days ago I went outside with my tripod, remote controller and my camera! Plus a bunch of different outfits and shoes, the day before the shoot I decided I wanted to photograph some outfits I never photographed before. For example this pink babygirl look, i've been wearing this for two years maybe? But I didn't took any pictures of it, now I thought okay! I need to do shoot it, otherwise it won't ever happen haha. I also styled a lot of other outfits for the coming weeks.

I'm happy I shot these photos in the beginning of the week, because I also have a lot of other things to do. I'm still working on my graduation project, and hopefully I can finish the portraits soon. I have to edit the colors and retouch a bit so all the backgrounds will align. It's more work than I thought, and I also still have to create the logo. I asked my followers on Instagram what name I should pick for the game. It's going to be: "Guess Who? Asian Edition". I thought it would be like that, because that was also the first name I had in mind myself.

I also asked on Instagram if I should cut my hair, because in my opinion it's too long now and I don't really like the color that much anymore. But I have to wait until I can dye my hair again, because now it's so stressed out with all the coloring and bleaching. My hair needs some rest, and I don't want my hair to fall out.

Back to the outfit: pink is my favorite color because it makes me really happy. It's a happy color and wearing an all pink outfit lifts my mood as well. I feel good in this color! I also haven't bought any clothes these past few months. I like to get inspiration from other clothing stores and their collections. I want to recreate some stuff and recycle fabric! Hopefully I can do that after I graduate, because yes it's hectic as hell!

Today it’s the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. It was created in 2004 to draw the attention to the violence and discrimination experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexuals, transgender, intersex people and all other people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities or expressions, and sex characteristics.

The date of May 17th was specifically chosen to commemorate the World Health Organization’s (WHO) decision in 1990 to declassify homosexuality as a mental disorder. It’s been only 30 years! To this day it’s still a huge taboo, and yes also in the Asian community. There are still so many topics we can’t talk about.

If you read in Dutch: “De Bananengeneratie” by Pete Wu is a really nice book. I’m also in it! In a lot of countries it’s not possible to marry who you love. I realised it’s a privilege that you can walk around with the one you love, be with the person(s) you want to be. It makes really sad that people can’t just be who they are. We still have a long way to go to make the world a more inclusive place. Accept no one's definition of your life: define yourself.

We should all be able to love who you want to love, without anyone screaming like you can’t. We should all be able to be themselves, without anyone judging. Power to all of the people who are openly gay, they are living and writing the history of the LGBTQ+ community! Love is love.

This dress has these big mesh floral sleeves which are pretty puffy. I love the look of the dress, it's perfect for an event. The sleeves look elegant and the dress is tight, it fits on my body but it's pretty hard to put it on. I can't wear the dress for a long time myself since it itches, my skin can't handle it very well unfortunately. I really like the style!

I feel like i'm in the year 2040 or something when wearing this kind of tight dress and this color. But I don't really like the dress without the styling, it looks plain and really simple. The material isn't really comfortable for my skin either. It feels very synthetic and it really hugs my skin, but it's irritating. I also picked size UK6 (XS), which fits nicely. If you pull the strings up, it makes the dress shorter and i'm not that comfortable in wearing a dress this short.

The material and model of this dress is super nice and comfortable. It's such a soft and silky feeling. I don't know how to knot it like the picture in the example. I thought the dress would look weird on me because of my body shape, but it's alright.

It's also good to wear seamless underwear underneath these kind of dresses, so you won't see the seamline. The material is not really thick, so you have to wear something over it.

Yay it's monday! I hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed the lovely weather. I got my second order from Femme Luxe Finery, and this time the package came in ever faster than the first one! I'm happy to try this Wine Bardot Cowl Neck Ruched Midi Dress, they have this in several colours but this bordeaux/wine looked very pretty. It's UK size 6, the dress fits very well but the top part is slipping down a lot for me. I love the material which is very comfortable and it feels soft on the skin. It also has a nice design, I love the ruches on it, very detailed. I went for a dark look with the platform boots and the choker. It's also possible to make the look more chic and wear heels with it! How would you style it?

I picked this Camel lounge set with a cropped top, the size I chose is S/M from Femme Luxe Finery. I'm around 160 cm, and I usually wear size 34 of XS. The top is quite small and the pants fits perfectly, if it's smaller it wouldn't fit this nicely. I don't really like the material since it's very synthetic. You also see your underwear through the pants at the back since it's quite a thin fabric and tight. I would wear tight underwear when wearing these jogger pants. If you don't have size 34 or XS I wouldn't buy this piece since it's really small to be size S/M. I like that the outfit is very comfortable to wear and perfect for hanging out at home and in this weather.
