Two weeks ago I posted all my stuff that I ordered at Ebay. You can check my post here, if you haven't read it. Three items arrived this week! My nail foil, a "mirror" or "selfie" lens for my Polaroid instax mini 8 camera and last but not at least my white suspender skirt. I can't wait to show it all to you, but I will first start with the nail foil. I saw some YouTube video's and I was sold, it looked so good and awesome on your nails I just had to try it. I ordered this set for just $6.99, you can get it here.
This is how they packed the product.
So many stuff!
The packaging is really good, and it was a lot of work to get rid of it. But it isn't that "strong" because some of the jars with the foil in it were a little broken.
Scratches :(
All my foil plus the glue! I figured it was the same as "gelnail glue". There's a little English description on the back of the glue polish. I guess it's a little tutorial how to use it on gel nails.
The nailfoil is pretty big, so you have to cut little pieces just to fit your nails. And yes, my nails aren't the best because of school haha.
The first time that I tried this product, it was a pretty much a big fail. (See the pictures with the blue holographic foil haha) I timed it right, but the foil didn't want to stick on my nails yet. So I wasted a few foil pieces. But hey, I didn't gave up. I guess you have to practise a little bit until you got it right in your hands. I still don't know how to put the foil perfectly on my nails. The next day I tried it again and the result was really awesome. It just looks so cool on your nails.
If you can see little spots that you missed with the foil, you can put another piece of foil on your nails so you can't see it well if you missed a spot. You can also just put "almost" the same color as the foil first on your nails and when it's dry you can put the glue and the foil on it. But it's a lot of work, waiting for your nailpolish to dry and after that the glue. I don't have a lot nailpolish at my boyfriend so I couldn't try this one out, but it looks better if you missed a spot.
FIRST TIME TRYING THE NAIL FOIL.
I used this lovely blue holographic foil for my first try.
As you can see it was a huge fail on my thumb, I missed a big spot.
So I put another piece of foil on it. As you can see, the foil just comes off.
The end result! You can see that there's two layes because the pattern isn't that smooth.
THE LIGHTING IS SO BAD I KNOW. BECAUSE IT WAS DARK OUTSIDE AND I TOKE PICTURES WITH A REALLY YELLOWISH LAMP.
MESSY END RESULT.
The first thing that I do is cutting the little pieces, after that I just put the glue on my nails just like normal nailpolish. I wait until the glue is dry. The glue is always white I think, so if it's "invisible" you can put your foil piece on your nail. With a swab I go back and forth until I did my whole nail. I can do a tutorial for you guys if you want. Just comment!
SECOND TIME TRYING THE NAIL FOIL.
MY SECOND TIME TRYING, AND IT WORKED. OH GOD.
THE END RESULT IS REALLY AMAZING. I'M SO IMPRESSED WITH THIS PRODUCT AND I RECOMMEND IT.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO USE A TOPCOAT OVER YOUR NAIL FOIL.
This is how it looks if you won't use a topcoat over your foil. Yeah.. really ugly. The topcoat didn't messed up my foil on my nails.
The nail foil won't last more than a week, and if you don't use a topcoat on top of the foil it the foil will look really ugly and you can feel the glue off it. I don't know how to explain it, just see the picture here above.
If you want a tutorial from me, comment! What do you think of nail foil, would you try this for yourself or do you think it's a lot of work.

This is such an interesting product; I haven't heard of this before but it's awesome! :] // itsCarmen.com ☼
It sounds difficult to apply..
I like the result when you applied it right ;)
